Competency Validations

Individual validations and return demonstrations will be conducted and documented for all appropriate team members.

Validations address:
Proper care and handling

Stainless instrumentation
Laparoscopic (MIS) instrumentation
Flexible and rigid endoscopes
Power equipment
Video systems
Ultrasound transducers and probes

Insulated instrument inspection and integrity testing
Proper leak testing of flexible endoscopes
Proper manual testing of flexible endoscopes

Following the peri-operative or GI/Endoscopy assessment, SIS will provide educational programs for all categories of serviced equipment and instrumentation.
